Final Pitch: 3D Cinema

My final project will be a title sequence that I have been working on for the past six weeks. I think this a great opportunity to combine Cinema 4D, maybe Houdini and Unreal together.

All programs have different strengths and weaknesses and this will be a good test to try everything together.

Story: Start off in a grey. (Symbolism for purgatory) As we see the scenes build up will see darker worlds, and chess pieces in battle. I am thinking the ending ends in a wide open beautiful landscape that is lush with life.

Life is like a game of chess. Every decision you make can either bring you an advantage or a disadvantage. Even acting upon your wisest decision can yield a negative outcome. The chess pieces must keep moving though.

Project Details:
Final result: render video
Audio: hasn’t been selected yet
Duration: Lowest end 1 min and 30 to 2 mins and 30 seconds.
Working with anyone else: No partner, I’ll be by myself.

Font that will be used: https://www.colophon-foundry.org/typefaces/brick/

Unreal:
Final scene: world building
Mocap: objects twirling and moving pieces around scenes.
Sequencer: add a camera, levels to sequencer, a few blueprints, and anything else that I can think of.
Character: End scene maybe will see a physical character
Niagara: maybe?

Cinema 4D:
- 3D modeling everything from scratch.

Some Look Dev Scenes: (Not complete that I started)

Mocap Opportunities: MO capping the chess pieces.

Effects in Houdini or Unreal Ideas:

Growth effect: adding some sort of growth effect to either the main object or character at the end of if the story. Could be the world (grass, weather elements, something abstract.)

Liquid effect: turn some of the objects into a liquid material or have the objects look like there melting.
