Week 10: Reading up on Documentation

This week I spent a lot of time reading Blueprints Visual Scripting for Unreal Engine 5 by Marcos Romero and Brenden Sewell. I have experience creating blueprints in Unreal, but I want to better understand when to use blueprints and when not to use them. I have enjoyed this book, and so far, I’ve learned the differences between setting up a macro and creating blueprints with operators. Coding has never been my strong suit, but I think what Unreal has been able to capture within Blueprints makes it easier to create procedural interactions. I am interested in creating blueprints for this upcoming project and applying some of the knowledge I’ve learned from this book to our final.

Additionally, I’ve been doing small tests with the foilage tool. Review some of my old work and see how I can create more diversity within the foilage tool. I am excited to see what I am to contribute to this larger project and what I can learn from my peers and instructor.
