For this week’s assignment, the class was tasked with creating a level based on our prompts, only using starter content.
Workflow and tools used:
- Creating a landscape using the sculpting tool, erosion, smooth, noise, and flattening tools.
- Enabled the water plug-in and created a small ocean/lake-like water system.
- Changed some of the parameters in the water system and explored some of the limitations
- Creating materials from scratch and with texture maps.
- Used HDR backdrop
- Used the foilage tool to spread the small number of plants used throughout the scene.
- Used some of the starter content, like the rocks, to add to the water in the scene.
- Used some of the starter content materials for the debris or rocks
- Explored and used shaft bloom and shaft occlusion settings
- Explored and changed the lightning with the directional light, exponential height fog, and skylight.
- Tinkered the post-volume processor lightly to change the colors and final look.
- Added a camera to the sequencer
- messed around with some of the render settings and antialiasing
Prompts:
The witch dreamed she could be bigger than the moon, but the elders told her she did not have enough wisdom. The elders told her if she wanted to be bigger than the moon, she would need to be more like grass. The witch asked her what does that mean? The elders responded dig deep down into your memories and you will unlock the past.
The witch created a cursed apple and wanted to give to the man she loved. However, she ate and stuck in the dream. So she needs to find the engagement ring and through to trash to forget memories and escape from the dream.
An elder went to the store and bought an egg. The elder then met up with the witch who was baking an apple pie in her oven. The elder and the witch teamed up and threw the egg and apple pie at the model.
The witch lived on the moon lonely and peacefully until one day she found out there is a star getting closer to her planet unlike others. She was running into the star and then found out she wear an engagement ring on the beach, the man in front of her is an elder smilely. The witch found out all the stars are the memories from Earth and other plantes. The dream of the elder is to save her old wife from death, so he gave that engagement ring to her when she fall asleep.
an aspiring model asked a witch to make her dreams come true. But every time the camera took her picture, she found her memories disappearing. after a successful career, her mind became trash, and found herself in the Nike shoes of the witch, having to trick new models into trading their memories for fame
